Naomi Haberman, LCSW-C, C-DBT

I am direct and straightforward, while also being respectful and encouraging in guiding clients in identifying and utilizing their strengths to move forward toward their targets.

My background includes 10+ years providing community mental health services for adults with severe mental illness and substance abuse. I also worked in Howard County Public Schools for many years providing crisis intervention, coping & social skills education and emotion regulation instruction. 

Following my undergraduate studies in Psychology and Music Performance at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and I earned a Masters in Social Work with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Maryland.

Jasmine Parlett, LCSW-C, C-DBT

I am therapeutic, but to the point. I work with my clients to understand their strengths, as well as to learn to modify their behaviors and thought processes to obtain more effective and desired outcomes.

I have worked in the community mental health field for more than 10 years. I specialize in providing services to adults and adolescents with co-occurring and psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to personality, anxiety, mood, eating, trauma, and psychotic disorders. I also specialize in working with first responders and veterans.

I hold undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences from Maryland colleges, and later earned a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Maryland.

Brittney Dahunsi, LCSW-C, C-DBT

I first began my career working as a foster care and adoptions social worker. This has fueled my therapeutic approach, as I strongly believe in empowering individuals and families to overcome any obstacle. I work to provide clients and their families with the tools to overcome many day to day obstacles to include, but not limited to, stress and anxiety, depression, body image concerns, life transitions and trauma.   

I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Bowie State University, followed by my Masters of Social Work, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, from the University of Maryland.

Kathleen Van Meter, LCSW-C, C-DBT

I am currently licensed at the clinical level (LCSW-C) to practice social work in Maryland. I use a direct, yet warm and affirming approach in therapy. Each client is unique and I work hard to assist clients in achieving his or her treatment goals through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution- Focused Therapy. Much of my work focuses on Mindfulness and supportive therapies.
I have experience providing services to individuals with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Domestic Violence, At-risk youth, and individuals in crisis. I use evidence-based practice modalities as well as individualizing treatment for each client to assist him or her in maximum therapeutic benefits.
My golden doodle Penny assists me in therapy sessions and has had a positive impact on individuals suffering from Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. She loves meeting new people and aims to provide a stress-free and relaxing environment!

Penny the Golden doodle works hard to ensure clients are comfortable and have an outlet for their emotions.  Penny has a calm disposition and temperament, making her the perfect companion to any therapy session.  Pet therapy has been well documented to decrease initial anxieties and can assist in the rapport building.  Penny strives to create a warm, judgment -free environment and takes direction very well.


Amelia Nigro, LCSW-C


In our sessions, I hope to empower you and support you in the management of your daily obstacles. By using a strengths-based model, I will help you explore and access your present coping skills while also supporting you in discovering new and manageable tools that will bring about positive change. Whether you are looking for support in navigating life challenges, specifically related to depression, stress, anxiety, parenting, or looking to strengthen your overall mental and emotional wellness, I am here to help.       As a licensed clinical social worker, I have experience working with families experiencing high levels of stress related to grief and end of life, parental discord, and early childhood and adolescent challenges. My previous career as a special education teacher further informs my practice by giving me keen insight into the intricacies of the school system- I am particularly drawn to supporting parents and children who are struggling to balance academic and emotional needs. I also have experience in health care social work and am trained to support families who are experiencing the impact of acute and prolonged hospitalizations. After earning a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Human Services from Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College) I went on to complete a Master of Social Work program at the University of Maryland. My academic concentration is in Clinical Child/Adolescent/Family Health, and I have additional training in the following: • Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT) • Social Skills Special Education/IEP process • LGBTQ+ Mindfulness Training I look forward to walking through this journey together! Courtney Bowerman, LCSW-C 


I use an empathetic, strengths based approach in my practice with clients. I value and build on each client’s diverse skills in addition to utilizing evidence based practice to meet desired treatment goals. I have experience working with but not limited to adults and children diagnosed with; depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar, and behavioral related diagnoses. 

I earned my Undergraduate degree at Salisbury University with a Major in Social Work and a Minor in Psychology. I earned my Master’s Degree at the University of Maryland School of   Social Work with a concentration in Clinical mental health. 

I have 5+ years experience in providing mental health services in settings including a residential treatment center and outpatient mental health clinics.

Charity Mitchell, LMSW


Every client is unique and I use a strengths based approach to therapy in order assist clients in recognizing their strengths. I believe every client should be in charge of their treatment and actively collaborate with them to create and reach their treatment goals.  I have experience in working with all ages. I consider my specialties to include depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorders, and PTSD. I have experience with working with couples and LGBTQIA+ ally, and am trans-affirming. 
I earned my Undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Maryland University College. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Widener University School of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical and Trauma work. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with training in TF-CBT, Attachment Based Family Therapy, and CBT.
I have 10 + years working in community mental health, including case management, residential treatment centers, military families, and outpatient mental health clinics.
