(DBT)

DBT is a skills based therapy utilized to manage intense emotions, improve relationships and cope effectively with distress. DBT's main goal is to create a life worth living by targeting three individualized areas:

  1. Eliminating life threatening behaviors 

  2. Reducing therapy interfering behaviors 

  3. Decreasing quality of life interfering behaviors

​Our comprehensive program helps patients implement skills in real time to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, self-harm, impulsive & defiant behaviors, BPD, suicidal behaviors and more. DBT's four skills modules are: 

​

  1. Mindfulness

  2. Distress tolerance

  3. Interpersonal effectiveness 

  4. Emotion regulation​
